Nigerian IGP Says Delta Police Officer Acts “In A Manner That Betrayed His Oath” After Killing Handcuff Suspect, Describes Action As “Criminal And Unprofessional”

The Inspector General of Police –IGP—Olatunji Disu in a statement has described the action of the Delta state police officer ASP Nuhu Usman as criminal and unprofessional after the police officer killed a suspect Mr. Mene Ogidi “extra judiciary” on 26th April.

The IGP vowed that all officers involved were withdrawn from Delta State and transferred to Force Headquarters in Abuja, promising swift, transparent justice for the deceased.

He extended condolence to the family of Mene Ogidi.
