Al Nassr 1–1 Al Hilal: Late Bento Own Goal Denies Hosts League Title

Al Nassr were held to a dramatic 1–1 draw by Al Hilal after a stoppage-time own goal from goalkeeper Bento denied them all three points in a tense Saudi Pro League clash.

Al Nassr had taken the lead in the 37th minute through Mohamed Simakan, who finished from close range after a well-worked set-piece to put his side in control of the match. The hosts dominated large spells and looked set to secure a crucial win in the title race.

However, deep into stoppage time, disaster struck for Al Nassr when Bento failed to deal with a late Al Hilal delivery, turning the ball into his own net to gift the visitors a dramatic equaliser.

The result is a major setback for Al Nassr, who were seconds away from extending their lead at the top of the table. The Riyadh derby once again delivered high tension and late drama between Saudi Arabia’s two biggest rivals.

Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates now turn their attention to the final day of the season, where they will face Damac, if Al Nassr wins they will win the league. But if Al Hilal drop point to NEOM in their next game Al Nassr will win the league regardless of the game against Damac.
