Cristian Chivu Signs Contract Extension at Inter Milan

Cristian Chivu has signed a new long-term contract extension with Inter Milan that will keep him at the club until June 2028, with an option to extend until June 2029.

The agreement reflects Inter’s confidence in his progress after a successful debut season in charge, where he delivered both the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia. Across all competitions, Inter played 68 matches under his leadership, recording 40 wins, 14 draws, and 14 defeats during the campaign.

Chivu’s new deal also includes an improved salary package as a reward for his impact and to secure stability around the club’s long-term project.

The extension is expected to be officially announced by Inter in the coming days once final formalities are completed.
