Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw Set To Leave Manchester City Amid Chelsea And Barcelona Interest

Khadija Shaw is set to leave Manchester City Women this summer after failing to reach an agreement over a new contract.

Discussions between the Jamaican striker and the club had been ongoing since early 2026, but both parties were unable to finalize fresh terms ahead of the expiration of her current deal.

Chelsea Women are currently leading the race to sign Shaw on a free transfer and are reportedly prepared to meet her contractual demands.

Several other clubs across the Women’s Super League, Europe, and the National Women’s Soccer League have also made approaches for the prolific forward.

Meanwhile, FC Barcelona Femení are understood to have shown interest in the striker, while London City Lionesses are also monitoring her situation closely.

Since joining Manchester City in 2021, Shaw has established herself as one of the most dangerous forwards in women’s football. The Jamaican international has scored an impressive 109 goals in 131 appearances for the club.

She also enjoyed another outstanding campaign this season, scoring 21 goals in 27 matches and playing a major role in Manchester City’s push for the WSL title.
