NFF reaches agreement with Éric Chelle to continue as Super Eagles coach

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has reached an agreement with Éric Chelle to continue as head coach of the Super Eagles on a long-term contract.

The 48-year-old is expected to earn around $100,000 per month under the new deal, which is designed to provide stability and continuity for Nigeria’s national team setup.

As part of the agreement, the NFF will also assume responsibility for the salaries of Chelle’s coaching staff.

Chelle is set to take on expanded responsibilities, combining his role with the Super Eagles and the Nigeria U-23 side. He will lead the Olympic team in their attempt to qualify for the 2028 Games in Los Angeles.

The contract structure is understood to run until 2030, potentially keeping Chelle in charge of Nigeria for the next four years as the federation looks to build a unified pathway between youth and senior national teams.
