Ukranian P.M Yulia Svyrydenko in a post discloses that the nation has received the first €3.2 billion tranche under the EU’s Ukraine Support Loan.
The P.M to the waring country further added that “The funds are already in the State Budget. They will help strengthen our defense capabilities and support Ukraine’s social resilience. I am grateful to the EU Commission and the leaders of EU member states for this important decision.”
At the Ukraine Recovery Conference, President Ursula von der Leyen announced the disbursement of €3.2 billion to Ukraine as the first instalment of the new macro-financial assistance (MFA).
The MFA is a segment of the Ukraine Support Loan, under which €90 billion are expected to be made available to Ukraine in 2026 and 2027, covering both budget support and defence-related needs
The first instalment of the €6 billion defence package to support drone procurement will be disbursed in the coming days.
