Real Madrid have made initial enquiries to Arsenal regarding the conditions of a potential deal for defender Riccardo Calafiori, according to Krrish.
The Spanish club are understood to have shown concrete interest in the Italy international in recent days and have been assessing the feasibility of a possible transfer. It is also reported that discussions have taken place with the player’s representatives prior to contacting Arsenal.
Calafiori is said to be open to a move to Real Madrid, but would only consider leaving Arsenal if both clubs can reach an agreement.
Arsenal, however, are not believed to be willing to sanction a sale this summer. The club, along with manager Mikel Arteta, reportedly view the defender as an important part of their long-term plans.
Sources suggest it would take a significantly high offer for Arsenal to consider any negotiation, although no formal bid has been made at this stage.
Real Madrid are currently gathering information and evaluating multiple defensive targets as they plan for future reinforcements.
