Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing a renewed bid for Sandro Tonali, with plans to submit an offer in the coming days.
Spurs are expected to table a package worth around £80m–£85m, including bonuses. Personal terms are said to already be agreed in principle.
A previous Tottenham bid of around £75m was reportedly rejected immediately by Newcastle United, who are holding out for a fee closer to £90m.
Tottenham are continuing negotiations and are hopeful of reaching an agreement with Newcastle before 30 June, although no deal is currently guaranteed.
There is also reported interest from Manchester City, but Tottenham believe they are currently leading the race for the midfielder.
Roberto De Zerbi is said to be an influential figure in the background of the deal, with Spurs confident they remain well positioned to secure Tonali’s signature.
