I proudly commend Delta State Gov. Oborevwori, for withdrawing from the Suit filed by 11 PDP Governors against President Tinubu and the National Assembly, as the Supreme Court reserves Judgment on declaration of “State of Emergency Rule” in Rivers State”.
I have continued to maintain that these Governors (Plaintiffs in this Suits) with due respect to them, lacked the locus standi to file this Suit, ab initio, and worse, is that their action sadly misled my dear Bro, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, to believing that he acted right by trying to cherry pick the Judgement of the Supreme Court.
These Governors also only want to score cheap political points against President Tinubu, the National Assembly and the APC.
My final humble submission therefore, is that this Suit be dismissed in its entirety and the Governors (Plaintiffs) be strongly reprimanded for wasting the scarce funds of their States in filling this Suit and for taking politics too far to a ridiculous extent because they know that no sincere President would allow cherry picking of Judgements of the Supreme Court of any Country lest there be anarchy.
Not even in the USA is anybody allowed to cherry pick the judgement of its Supreme Court. Not even an incumbent President hence President Trump didn’t get a straight second term.
Please, let’s all of us put our beloved Country, Nigeria, first and above all other Interests because there must first, exists a peaceful and orderly Nigeria before our Interests can be pursued and actualised.
I am happy that Peace and Reconciliation have returned to our beloved Rivers State – the Treasure Base of Nigeria.
Our Nigeria shall overcome and must rise again.
