Peter Obi Unexpected Appearance At Anambra Rally For George Moghalu

The 2023 Labour Party’s presidential hopeful and former Anambra governor, Peter Obi surprised supporters by joining a late-night campaign rally in Ogbunike on Tuesday to back gubernatorial candidate George Moghalu against incumbent Chukwuma Soludo in the November 8, 2025, election.

The event in deputy candidate Ifeoma Veronica Okaro’s hometown highlights Obi’s mobilization of the Obidient movement amid a field of 16 candidates, including contenders from the All Progressives Congress and Peoples Democratic Party.

In a part statement on Wednesday Obi described the atmosphere: “The warmth, energy, and genuine enthusiasm we met in Ogbunike were deeply inspiring.

“During my brief remarks, I expressed my profound gratitude to the community for their unwavering support and for standing firm in the belief that governance must prioritise human development.
