Osimhen Wins Man of the Match After Guiding Galatasaray to Champions League Victory

Galatasaray claimed their second consecutive UEFA Champions League win of the season, defeating Bodø/Glimt 3–1, thanks to a brace from Victor Osimhen. The result moves the Turkish champions to 14th in the overall competition standings after three matches.

Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk expressed his satisfaction with the team’s dominance , highlighting their control and attacking intent:

“We started the match very well. In the first half, we scored two goals, created several chances, and pressed effectively. We allowed our opponents only one opportunity. It was a first half in which we could have increased the score even more. Our pressing up front was correct, and when we had the ball, we were very calm and confident.

In the second half, our opponents had more possession and took more risks. After going 3–0 up, we made some changes, created more chances, and defended well against them. We conceded one goal, but we also had opportunities to score more.”

Osimhen was named Man of the Match for his decisive performance his second consecutive award in the competition.
