“Europe And Japan Are Trusted Friends” — European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Claims

European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen in a post on X claimed: “Europe and Japan are trusted friends.”

This is coming after her first conversation with Japan’s Prime Minister takaichi_sanae.

Her post on X read in part: ”in today’s uncertain world, friendship matters more than ever. Together, we stand for open economies, secure societies, and fair rules.

“We are already deepening our cooperation on trade, economic security, and critical raw materials through our Competitiveness Alliance.

“And we both agree that Europe’s and the Indo-Pacific’s security are closely – and increasingly – interlinked.” The EC president added.
