Musk To Setup Quantum Computing On The Dark Side Of The Moon.

Elon Musk stated that quantum computing would function best in the Moon’s permanently shadowed craters, where temperatures reach around 25 Kelvin to stabilize qubits without energy-heavy cooling.

“Quantum computing is best done in the permanently shadowed craters on the Moon” Musk wrote on Sunday

SpaceX’s Starship supports this through uncrewed lunar missions planned under a NASA contract by 2028.

Challenges include cosmic radiation risks and power supply needs, alongside restrictions from the 1967 Outer Space Treaty on lunar resource claims.
