Croatia defeated the Faroe Islands 3-1 in Rijeka on Friday, overcoming an early goal to clinch qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and top UEFA Group

 L. Joško Gvardiol equalized in the 23rd minute, Petar Musa scored the winner in the 68th, and Nikola Vlašić added a late goal, extending Croatia’s winning streak to eight in qualifiers.

The victory ensures captain Luka Modrić’s fifth World Cup appearance.
