After praying the Angelus, Pope Leo XIV spoke about Christians experiencing discrimination and persecution today, naming Bangladesh, Nigeria, Mozambique and Sudan: “The persecution of Christians is not only carried out with weapons and mistreatment, but also with words, through lies and ideological manipulation. Let us bear witness to the truth that saves the world, to the justice that redeems from oppression, from hope.”
