Popular rapper and activist, Folarin Falana, aka Falz, and Skit maker and activist Adebowale Adedayo aka Mr. Macaroni has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to resign over his inability to tackle the escalating insecurity in the country.

Reposting a tweet made by Tinubu on 6 November 2014, demanding for the resignation of then President Goodluck Jonathan over terrorism, Falz stated that the President has remained unwilling to protect the lives and property of citizens despite pretending to care in the past.

“You have consistently shown your unwillingness to protect the lives and property of our people despite pretending to care in the past. Resign now!” he wrote.

Mr. Macaroni reposting same tweet made by the president on 6th Nov 2014 pointing out that he had once advised former President Goodluck Jonathan to resign when similar attacks occurred during his administration.

He said President Tinubu should not be exempted from the same accountability, arguing that leadership must be held to the same standard regardless of who is in power.

Macaroni maintained that if the government cannot protect its people, then it has lost its moral authority to remain in office, a sentiment increasingly echoed by frustrated Nigerians.
