Manchester United’s five-match unbeaten run came to an end with a 1-0 defeat to 10-man Everton. After the match, Rúben Amorim expressed his disappointment with his team’s performance.
“From the first 10 minutes, I felt that we were not there with the same intensity,” Amorim said. “Forget about the result, the way we played is a really big step back.”
He continued, adding that Everton deserved the victory: “They [Everton] were the better team, with 11 players or 10. I felt from the first minute that we were not there with the same intensity, so they deserve the win. If they have 10, let’s push the opponent to the final third. We need to be near on the transition. We needed to be focused. We need to do more.”
Looking ahead, Manchester United will face Crystal Palace on Sunday, November 30th, in their next Premier League match.
