Ukraine’s top anti-corruption units – NABU (National Anti-Corruption Bureau) and SAPO (Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office) raided government buildings, reportedly targeting Andriy Yermak, Zelensky’s chief of staff.
The latest raid comes days after a $100M bribery scandal rocked Ukraine’s energy sector – but no official word yet if this is linked.
In an address to the country, president Zelenskyy stated: “I want there to be no questions for Ukraine. The President’s Office will be rebooted, and the Chief of Staff, Andriy Yermak, has submitted his resignation.
“I am grateful to Andriy for always representing Ukraine’s position in the negotiation process exactly as it should be. It has always been a patriotic stance, but I want to prevent any rumors or speculation,” – he said in a video.
The resignation letter was submitted following a massive anti-corruption raid.
