Hansi Flick Praises “Fantastic” Barcelona Performance After 3–1 Victory Over Atlético Madrid

FC Barcelona delivered one of their strongest performances of the season as they defeated Atlético Madrid 3–1 in LaLiga, with goals from Raphinha, Dani Olmo, and Ferran Torres securing all three points. Atlético’s only goal came from Alex Baena, but it was not enough to trouble a dominant Barça side.

After the match, head coach Hansi Flick was full of praise for his players, describing the victory as a major step forward. The German manager highlighted the team’s unity, control, and mentality throughout the encounter.

Speaking to the media, Flick said: “I think our performance has been on another level. We fought together, and it was fantastic.”

He continued: “We’ll see if it’s a turning point. I think it was one of our best games. I really liked what I saw in the 90 minutes. We deserve the three points.”

Reflecting on the team’s resilience, Flick added:“We are coming back. We improved a lot today. They started well, but we reacted. We didn’t give up and that’s what we want.”

The Barça manager went on to give a more detailed assessment of the match:

“It was perfect. The players have been at a great level. We played against a great team but we fought and fought together. It’s been great, I’d say fantastic. We did what we had talked about before the game and that makes me happy. I am very satisfied. We controlled with the ball, we created more space than in other games and we took our chances. This was a key match. It’s always important to gain confidence.”

With the win, Barcelona move four points clear of Real Madrid, although Los Blancos still have a game in hand.
