David Moyes Reacts As Everton Claim Important 1–0 Victory Over Bournemouth

Everton returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Bournemouth, secured by a decisive strike from Jack Grealish. The Toffees showed discipline, control, and resilience throughout the match, earning three valuable points away from home.

After the game, manager David Moyes expressed satisfaction with both the performance and the result. He said:

“I thought we were probably the better team, but I was a bit concerned.”

“We’ve not got a great record here at Bournemouth so getting three points here was always going to be really important and good if we could get it.”

“I thought whoever got the first goal would win and thankfully it got us a victory.”

“That is three wins out of four and we’ve kept three clean sheets as well out of the four.”

Moyes also praised the players’ bravery and composure in a challenging away environment, sharing what he told the team in the dressing room:

“When you come to places as difficult as this, where they are going to be on you, you need players to take a lot of touches and want the ball and not be afraid to stay on the ball.”

Reflecting on Everton’s strong away form under his management, Moyes added:

“Since I have come back, only Arsenal have won more games than us away. They have been pretty happy.”

The win lifts Everton to ninth place in the Premier League, although they have played one game more than several of the teams around them .
