Update: Netizen Helping Jehovah Witness Member Who Refuses Blood Transfusion In Cancer Treatment Discloses Details

Everything @Wizarab10 said is the TRUTH I’ve seen several tweets from different people saying things about me that are not true.

It’s important that I address and correct these narratives. Please bear with me, as this will be a long thread.

Here is my side of the story.

I will skip other details and go straight to the blood update.

On Tuesday, I was notified, the screenshot is attached below. Although I have already informed the hospital that’s even if I am around I will like updates to me via text for proper record-keeping.

On Monday, I slept overnight at the hospital with Aunty Esther. When I received an update, I immediately went to meet the team for clarification. They informed me that she needed blood and explained the urgency.

However, I reminded them that she is a witness, and her PDA was submitted last week at the hospital in Victoria Island by her sister. Since it was her decision,

The patient is the one who must make that decision, not me.

I asked if there were other options, and they mentioned injections. I told them I would explain everything to Aunty Esther.

When I spoke to her on Tuesday, she chose the injections and said No to blood. This was also her husband’s decision, as the elders from her church also visited the hospital.

The injections had already started on Monday and were to be given at intervals for weeks. However, it is important to note that chemo cannot begin until her blood count is at 10, because chemo will require blood transmission at the level where she is.

I also spoke to her husband, who said he had a drug that could boost her blood. This caused a misunderstanding between us because I insisted she cannot take anything outside what the hospital prescribed. We later resolved it after the doctor explained to all of us that the drug he mentioned was the same one the hospital was already giving her and even a higher version in injections.

By Wednesday, I was exhausted, upset, and overwhelmed. I told Aunty Esther to call a family member to take over staying with her at the hospital. I have been sick myself, dealing with personal issues, even fixing my phone, all of which I kept to myself because of how deeply I care for her.

She asked me to keep everything secret and tell the team that she was fine. I refused. We even had issues yesterday because she spoke harshly to me, and said horrible things to me. but it didn’t stop me from caring.

For two weeks back-to-back, I have left home by 5 a.m., returned late, and spent money on calls, transport, and food, because I also need to eat while staying with her. I never took her food or anything meant for her. All her food and supplies remained untouched and were even supplemented by me.

I told Aunty Esther and the husband that I cannot hide information from my team. but I can manage and guide the situation responsibly. I have begged Mr Dickson, begged Dr. Sina, and regulated what was posted — but I cannot lie.

I told her that if Mr. Dickson makes payments and I send him the breakdown, people will question the injections, and our integrity will be questioned. After discussing with Mr. Dickson and Dr. Sina, we agreed that Aunty Esther should post from her account and he would quote it.

She asked me to draft the message for her, as I always do, and after reading it, she refused to post. When I told her the funds might be stopped and Mr. Dickson would need to update the public, Because we cannot lie.

she decided to post, but she removed the blood part and replaced it with injections, and she was very paranoid with me yesterday.

Throughout all of this, I have respected her choices. Blood is required for her to begin chemo, but I cannot make that decision for her. I am only an assistant, not a family member.

When I went to her house to beg her to return to the hospital and she agreed, Dr. Sina asked if she was willing to follow hospital procedures. She said yes.

Even when her husband mentioned the blood matter earlier, I did not know it would escalate. I am not a medical doctor.

I want to clearly state that I have never collected money from anyone, and my intentions have never been financial.

Any compensation Mr. Dickson intends to give me should be redirected to someone currently battling cancer — even a small amount can help with feeding or medical bills.

Thank you, everyone. I am not ignorant; I am simply trying to remain calm and not be overly emotional about this matter.

Aunty Esther, you are completely free to say you no longer want me to assist after this. My thoughts and prayers remain with you.
