Nigeria Vs Egypt Friendly Rescheduled As Both Sides Await Full Squads

The  international friendly between Nigeria and Egypt has been officially moved from December 14th to December 16th, following FIFA’s directive allowing clubs to retain their players until December 15th. The adjustment ensures that both nations will have access to their full squads ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations.

The football federations of both countries agreed that the shift was necessary to maintain the competitive integrity of the matchup, which serves as a crucial preparatory fixture before the tournament.

Both head coaches Eric Chelle of Nigeria and Hossam Hassan of Egypt are expected to use the game to assess their players, test tactical variations, and make final decisions regarding squad composition as AFCON draws closer.

Nigeria heads into the tournament placed in Group C alongside Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda, while Egypt will compete in Group B, which features Angola, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
