Osun State Governor Adeleke Receives NLC, TUC And 32 Labour Union For Briefing On His Political Movement To Accord Party

Governor Ademola Adeleke: “Yesterday at the Government House Banquet Hall, I received the leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and 32 Labour unions for an important briefing on my recent political movement to Accord. I am deeply humbled by the overwhelming endorsement given to me by our labour leaders for the 2026 governorship election.

“The NLC Chairman, Comrade Christopher Arapasopo, spoke passionately on behalf of the entire labour movement. He reaffirmed their commitment to stand with my administration and resist any attempt by oppressors and exploiters to return to power in Osun State. Their words of confidence in our governance, especially on workers’ welfare, were deeply appreciated.

“The labour movement described our administration as one that has been truthful, faithful and committed to workers’ wellbeing through the full implementation of their 2022 white paper and minimum wage payment. Their pledge to mobilise massively for our re-election is a powerful affirmation of our shared journey.

“I informed them that my decision to join the Accord Party was driven by my consultations and the alignment between Accord’s ideology and my long-standing priority of workers’ welfare. Accord’s people-centred agenda gives us the platform to consolidate and expand our Five-Point Agenda for the good of every Osun citizen.

“I expressed profound gratitude for their trust and for endorsing my second-term bid more than a year before the polls. I assured them that I remain a dependable ally of the labour movement and will continue to govern with fairness, justice and compassion.”
