ISWAP Declares Christians Legitimate Targets After U.S. Airstrikes, Congressman Riley Reveals President Trump Is Still Working With The Nigeria Government To Eradicate Terrorism.

On January 1, the Islamic State West Africa Province—ISWAP– released propaganda showing a burning village, declaring all Christians in Nigeria legitimate targets and offering to spare them through conversion to Islam or payment of jizyah.

The threats follow U.S.-Nigerian airstrikes on December 25, 2025, authorized by President Trump against ISIS-linked camps, which analysts link to retaliation despite ISWAP’s religious framing.

No deaths were confirmed in this arson attack, but it caps recent strikes destroying over 50 homes in places like Higa, drawing condemnation from U.S. Rep. Riley Moore as faith-based persecution amid Nigeria’s ongoing security crisis.

The U.S congressman pointed out: “If there were any remaining doubts that Christians in Nigeria are being targeted for their faith in Jesus Christ, this should end that debate.

“This isn’t about land usage, “climate change,” or any other argument the Left wants to make. This is persecution of our brothers and sisters for their faith in Christ, plain and simple.

“ISIS is telling Christians they have an opportunity to “spare their blood” if they convert. Our brothers and sisters will not bend the knee to anyone but our Lord and Savior though.

“Thankfully, @POTUS is continuing to work in cooperation with the Nigerian government to stop these Islamic radicals and defend our brothers and sisters in Christ.”
