The sporting director posted an apology on Instagram to Ronaldo and Félix shortly after stating: “A public explanation and apology to the Portuguese professionals from Al-Nassr for the misunderstanding after the final whistle.
“I have full respect and admiration for them; my focus was on celebrating with our goalkeeper, and it led to an unfortunate, unintentional mistake.”
