Afghan National To Serve 15-Year Imprisonment Over Election Day Terror, US Immigration And Customs Enforcement To Deport Him Thereafter

An Afghan national who plotted an Election Day terror attack will serve a 15-year prison sentence.

Abdullah Haji Zada held a U.S. green card when he conspired on behalf of ISIS to receive two AK-47-style rifles and 500 rounds of ammo — knowing their intended use was a violent 2024 Election Day attack.

ICE Homeland Security Investigations special agents initiated this investigation, executed the search warrants and made the arrests in this case.

After Zada serves his sentence, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers will deport him to Afghanistan.
