Lamia Boumehdi Wins CAF Women’s Coach Of The Year For Second Time, Nigerians Says Its Rigged, After Madugu Guided The Super Falcons To A Record 10th WAFCON Title

The Confederation of African Football named Moroccan coach Lamia Boumehdi the 2025 Women’s Coach of the Year, beating finalists Jorge Vilda and Nigeria’s Justin Madugu, based on performances through the CAF Women’s Champions League where TP Mazembe took bronze.

CAF wrote: “Greatness isn’t a moment , it’s a habit.

“Lamia Boumehdi, Women’s Coach of the Year, back-to-back. 🇲🇦🏆”

It’s her second win in a row, following her 2024 success with the club’s title.

Nigerian fans called it a snub after Madugu guided the Super Falcons to a record 10th WAFCON title with a 3-2 comeback final win over Morocco, while supporters praised Boumehdi’s consistent club excellence.
