King Mohammed VI has sent a message of congratulations to the Moroccan national football team following their appearance in the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, hosted in Morocco.
In his message, the King congratulated the players, coaching staff, and the technical, medical, and administrative teams, as well as officials of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, praising the team for achieving a landmark continental result.
Commending their tournament run, King Mohammed VI said:

The King also linked the team’s performance to Morocco’s long-term national vision, stating:
“You have likewise proven, through the determination and heroic and honorable performance you displayed, the relevance of our strategic vision to invest in human capital and modernize the Kingdom’s infrastructure, which has demonstrated its resilience and world-class level of preparedness in anticipation of hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup.”
Reflecting on Morocco’s hosting of the tournament, the monarch described it as more than a sporting success:
“As much as We consider our country’s hosting of this prestigious championship marked by high-quality organization and warm hospitality rooted in the nobility and centuries-old values of the Moroccan Nation to be a remarkable sporting achievement, We also view it as a message of hope and confidence from Morocco toward its continent, reaffirming that African talent is capable of excellence and innovation in all fields.”
In the final part of the message, King Mohammed VI paid tribute to Moroccan supporters for their unwavering backing throughout the competition.
