AS Roma have made an initial approach over a potential loan deal for Yannick Ferreira Carrasco, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Any agreement would depend on Al Shabab’s stance, with the Saudi Pro League club not currently open to allowing the Belgian winger to leave during the January transfer window. Roma remain keen and are waiting on developments, while Napoli had also made contact weeks ago to stay informed on the situation.
Carrasco is a key figure in Al Shabab’s project and currently serves as the club’s captain. The 32-year-old has registered seven goals and three assists in 14 Saudi Pro League appearances this season.
An experienced international, Carrasco has previously played for Monaco and Atlético Madrid and was part of the Belgium squad that finished third at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
