During a skills challenge at the Japanese SV League All-Star Game on February 1, 2026, Yuji Nishida accidentally struck a courtside staff member with a volleyball.

Nishida immediately launched into a cross-court slide on his stomach, bowing his head simultaneously to apologize, later moving into a kneeling bow after hitting her with his serve.

Yuji Nishida is a prominent member of the Japan men’s national team and currently plays for Osaka Bluteon.
