Fenerbahçe have officially announced the signing of N’Golo Kanté, completing one of the most challenging transfers of the winter window.
The move faced significant complications earlier on February 3, when Fenerbahçe reportedly submitted all required documentation to FIFA’s Transfer Matching System (TMS) for the transfers of N’Golo Kanté and Al-Ittihad forward Youssef En-Nesyri. At the time, the deals were not immediately approved, as reported by Yağız Sabuncuoğlu.
However, a new development emerged later that night. The Transfer Matching System officially approved Kanté’s transfer, clearing the final obstacle for the move. Shortly after, confirmation followed that N’Golo Kanté has joined Fenerbahçe, per Yağız Sabuncuoğlu.
The French midfielder has signed a contract valid until 2028 with the Turkish giants. In order to complete the transfer, Kanté terminated his contract with Al-Ittihad, paving the way for his arrival in Istanbul.
Fenerbahçe’s successful completion of the deal marks a major statement signing, adding vast experience and quality to their midfield .
