Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City Future In Doubt

Pep Guardiola is facing growing uncertainty over his future at Manchester City, with doubts emerging about whether he will remain at the club through the final year of his current contract, which runs until June 30, 2027.

Guardiola officially joined Manchester City as manager on July 1, 2016, and since then, he has led the team to remarkable success, securing a total of 18 major trophies, including a historic continental Treble in 2023.

During his tenure, Guardiola has signed four contract extensions. In May 2018, following the “Centurions” season, he signed a three-year deal to remain at the club until 2021. In November 2020, he agreed to a two-year extension, keeping him at City until 2023. A further two-year renewal in November 2022 extended his stay until 2025.

Most recently, in November 2024, Guardiola signed another two-year contract, which currently commits him to the club until 2027. Despite these extensions, speculation continues about whether he will see out his latest deal, leaving his long-term future at Manchester City uncertain.
