Nigerians on twitter community for days has been advising Zenith Bank users to either close down their account with the financial institution or stop complaining about the alleged fraud being perpetrated by the bank officials.

The outrage came as a reaction to a Mr Madox complaint on the blue bird app, who reported of $11.031 missing from his domiciliary account.

A tweet he tagged Zenith bank had read: “Today I noticed that a total of $11.031 was missing from my Domiciliary account. The money is showing in my ledger balance but it’s not showing in my account balance. I have contacted your bank and they said someone made fraudulent transactions with my account.

“My dollar debit card that is inside my house and no one else has any access to it whatsoever.  I have contacted your people @ZenithBank to make sure that money is returned to my account as I didn’t authorize any such withdrawals.

“I do not understand how your bank has become so porous that any fraudulent transactions are easily authorized from your bank. Please anyone who can help me should please assist.

“In this hard economy.  $11,031 is not 11 thousand naira. @ZenithBank please I do not want to hear any stories. I am storming your bank tomorrow to raise hell.” He added

The tweet which had generated several reactions ranging from anger to disbelief , several opinions advices from tweeter users, stated:

@VillageParrot: “$11,000 stolen from someone’s Zenith Bank [dom] account. Make it an important task today to close your account with Zenith Bank.”

@Akwaricharles: “There is an obvious data breach or a mole working in Zenith Bank. It is so painful how peoples money are missing from their account. I would suggest if you have an account with Zenith, put in security measure or close the account for now.”

@AttaAbraham: “Zenith bank needs to be shut down that bank is running by Frauds ans scammers.”

@AjeboDanny:”It’s the consistency of Zenith Bank for me, everyday someone is losing money in the useless bank but i trust Nigerians, nobody will ever remove their money. Tomorrow another person will complain. We never do things differently but expect a different result.”

@micheal_mickyt: “Why are you still using zenith bank with the way people funds are disappearing anyhow���������”

@sholawa: “You know what I find the most appalling about Zenith Bank? Not one management person has thought to issue a statement about what is going on with their compromised system. Not one. This is bad leadership. Keep your money their at your own risk sha.”

@ronaldnzimora: “This is why I like lawyers in the USA. By now, there would have been multiple thousands of court cases filed agaisnt Zenith Bank on a contigency basis..Lawyers would be scrambling for affected Zenith Bank customers, even running adverts to find them ���.”

@xdatruthx: “Nigerians will eventually learn to stop banking with Zenith bank. Zenith bank will not stop stealing customers funds, if you like ignore this man’s complaint, your account might be next if you don’t move your money out of that thieving bank.”

Recall that on the 10th January, Chiamaka Jennifer had made a video, appealing to Nigerians to come to her aid as she complaint of an unauthorised  fraudulent transfer of ₦4,039,900 from her Zenith account, though after back and forth with the financial institution, she was able to get most of her money back.
