Eric Chelle’s 19-Point Conditions to NFF for Contract Extension

Eric Chelle has reportedly submitted a detailed 19-point proposal to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as negotiations continue over a possible contract extension. The comprehensive list outlines key demands covering welfare, logistics, technical control, administrative structure, and financial terms, which the coach considers essential for the effective management and long-term development of Nigeria’s national teams.

  1. Private car (SUV) with a chauffeur and security.
  2. House in a well-secured environment with 24-hour uninterrupted power supply (electricity).
  3. Furnished office with projector for tactical analysis.
  4. Internet provision.
  5. Flight tickets for wife and two children (Eric and wife business class; children economy class).
  6. GPS provision.
  7. Supply of proper equipment in accordance with the coach’s demands.
  8. Based on opponents, the coach to have the right of choice regarding international friendly matches.
  9. Structured camping programs.
  10. Authority to initiate programs for youth development.
  11. Provision for the coach to travel to watch, monitor, and engage national team players abroad.
  12. Provision for the coach to travel to monitor the local league and identify potential players for integration into the senior national team, as well as U23, U20, and U17 teams.
  13. No interference in team selection and player call-ups.
  14. The NFF to issue official working contracts for his staff.
  15. Salary to be paid on or before the 30th of every month.
  16. Bonus and allowance structure in line with federation policy.
  17. Inclusion of his Personal Assistant (PA) in the bonus and allowance structure.
  18. Proposed monthly salary of $130,000 (one hundred and thirty thousand dollars), inclusive of his technical staff and PA.
  19. Monthly meeting with all national team coaches to ensure alignment and coordination.

Negotiations between Chelle and the NFF are still ongoing, with both parties yet to reach a final agreement. Discussions are expected to continue as they work toward terms that will define the coach’s future with the national team setup.
