Real Madrid Pleased with Álvaro Arbeloa’s Early Impact as Head Coach

Real Madrid are reportedly extremely satisfied with the way Álvaro Arbeloa has been managing the team’s star-studded squad since taking over as head coach of the first team on January 12, 2026.

Club sources indicate that Arbeloa has adopted a more flexible approach with the senior players, giving them greater freedom on the pitch and limiting tactical instructions. This management style is believed to have resonated well with the dressing room, particularly among the club’s biggest names.

While the hierarchy continues to hold Xabi Alonso in high regard and considers him a fantastic coach, there is a belief that his methods demanded too much from the senior players an approach they were not entirely accustomed to.

Since his appointment, Arbeloa has overseen nine matches across all competitions, recording seven wins, no draws, and two losses. Under his leadership, Real Madrid currently sit top of the La Liga table with 60 points, underlining an impressive start to his tenure.
