President Lula: “I held a working meeting with the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the afternoon of Tuesday, in Abu Dhabi.
“We examined the deepening of the strategic partnership between our two countries. In particular, cooperation in the areas of trade and investment. We reiterated our interest in quickly concluding the negotiations of the MERCOSUR – UAE Agreement to establish a Comprehensive Economic Partnership.
“I reiterated the importance of the UAE’s participation in the Forever Tropical Forests Fund, launched on the occasion of COP-30, and invited the President of the UAE to make a visit to Brazil still this year.
“The President of the UAE noted that the strategic relations between the United Arab Emirates and Brazil, which span more than 50 years, continue to strengthen. He highlighted the broad scope of cooperation that our countries seek to advance, in line with shared priorities and long-term objectives.
“We also exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual interest, as well as on joint efforts to support peace and stability in the Middle East and globally.”
