AC Milan Push for André Transfer as Corinthians President Holds Back

A transfer saga is unfolding around 19‑year‑old midfielder André Luiz Santos Dias as AC Milan push to finalize his move from Corinthians. The deal, reportedly worth €15 million plus €2 million in add‑ons, includes a 20 percent future resale clause for Corinthians.

Most contractual details have been agreed, and André has already signed personal terms on a five‑year contract with Milan. The transfer is expected to take effect after the 2026 World Cup, but the agreement still awaits the signature of Corinthians president Osmar Stabile.

Stabile has reportedly held back on signing the deal following backlash from fans over the move and its valuation. Milan, however, believe the exchange of signed draft contracts and legal communications from Corinthians’ side protects them, and the club is prepared to take the matter to FIFA if Stabile does not complete the paperwork in the coming days.

André broke into Corinthians’ first team in 2025 after coming through the club’s academy. As of March 2, 2026, he has made 24 appearances, starting ten times, and has scored four goals. He has become a regular in the midfield under coach Dorival Júnior, and his performances have attracted attention from several European clubs prior to Milan’s move.
