Frenkie de Jong Prioritizes World Cup Over Barça’s Final Stretch

Frenkie de Jong has reached an understanding with the Dutch National Team that he will not take any physical risks for FC Barcelona during the final stages of the season.

The midfielder’s top priority is being fully fit for the upcoming World Cup, especially after missing out on the European Championship. Determined not to jeopardize his international ambitions, De Jong has reportedly decided he will refuse painkillers or injections offered to speed up his return.

He will only feature for Barcelona if he feels 100 percent fit not 99 percent.

So far this season, De Jong has made 29 appearances for the Catalan club, registering one goal and seven assists.
