“When I saw them again, my hands started shaking. No athlete should have to play under oppression. No woman should have to hide her identity to exist.

“Today I fight for the new generation, for girls who deserve freedom, dignity, and equality.

“For athletes who deserve to play in a healthy, free environment. Iran’s future generation deserves better. And we will not stop until they have it.

“Please don’t stop talking about the Iranian women’s national soccer team. They need us. They need our voices. They need our support. Please don’t forget the athletes who are in prison simply for standing for freedom and dignity. ✌🏻💔”
