Tottenham Hotspur F.C. are closely monitoring Charlie Cresswell as part of the club’s long-term defensive plans.
The North London side have identified the English centre-back as one of the key options they could pursue should there be an outgoing in the central defensive department, either during the January transfer window or next summer.
Cresswell, who currently plays for Toulouse FC, has been on Tottenham’s radar for some time, with the club continuing to track his development in France.
The potential move could become more concrete if Radu Drăgușin departs the club. The Romanian defender has attracted serious interest from clubs in both the Bundesliga and Serie A, making his future at Tottenham a situation to watch.
Should Drăgușin leave, Tottenham could move quickly to activate their interest in Cresswell as a replacement option.
Toulouse are reportedly open to selling the defender in January, but the French club would demand a significant transfer fee. The Ligue 1 side are believed to value Cresswell at around €30 million before considering any deal.
The situation remains one to monitor closely as Tottenham continue to assess their defensive plans for the upcoming transfer windows.
