Bayer 04 Leverkusen are reportedly interested in signing Leon Goretzka on a potential free transfer in the summer.

Sources indicate that meetings have already taken place between Leverkusen representatives and the midfielder’s management team to discuss the feasibility of a deal and better understand the conditions surrounding a possible move.

Despite the interest from the Bundesliga side, Goretzka has not rejected the idea of joining Leverkusen. However, reports suggest the German international is currently more inclined toward a move abroad, with the Premier League believed to be his preferred destination.

Leverkusen view Goretzka as a player who could bring valuable experience and leadership to the squad. The club are looking to strengthen their midfield following the departure of Granit Xhaka, and believe the Bayern Munich star could help fill that void.
