Liverpool FC head coach Arne Slot is expected to continue in charge for the remainder of the season. The club’s hierarchy are not convinced by the idea of sacking Slot and appointing an interim head coach, especially while Liverpool are still competing in the Champions League quarter-finals against Paris Saint-Germain.
The Liverpool board want to give Slot time to turn the situation around, as they still view him as the best long-term option for the club. A final decision on his future is expected after the season concludes.
Liverpool currently sit fifth in the Premier League, having won 14 matches, drawn seven, and lost ten, with 49 points just one point above Chelsea in the final Champions League qualification spot. Their most recent defeat came in a 2-1 loss against Brighton on Saturday, March 21.
