Victor Osimhen To Undergo Surgery After Galatasaray Injury

Galatasaray have confirmed that Victor Osimhen has suffered a fracture in his arm and will undergo surgery performed by the club doctor Yener İnce.

A club statement read: “Our footballer Victor Osimhen has been taken into surgery due to a fracture in his arm. The necessary statement will be made through our official channels after the surgery.”

The injury occurred during Galatasaray’s 4-0 UEFA Champions League defeat to Liverpool on March 18, 2026, following a foul by Konate. Osimhen described the moment, saying, “The ball was coming, I went with the defender, my hand was empty, I didn’t know he brought his knee, his knee hit my arm. I didn’t realize it was broken at first. I thought it would pass before the match ended. When I wanted to run, that thing weighed me down. It felt like my hand was falling off. I tried, but it didn’t work.”

Osimhen is expected to be sidelined for at least six weeks, missing Galatasaray’s next five matches and potentially the sixth against rivals Fenerbahce on April 26, 2026.
