Hakimi Omitted as Final Nominees Announced for 2026 Prix Marc Vivien Foé

Achraf Hakimi has not been included in the final shortlist for the 2026 Prix Marc-Vivien Foé, reportedly due to his ongoing legal situation.

The award, which recognises the best African player in Ligue 1, features a competitive list of nominees this year. The final shortlist includes Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Lamine Camara, Bamba Dieng, Guela Doué, Martial Godo, Ilan Kebbal, Hervé Koffi, Arsène Kouassi, Aïssa Mandi, Moussa Niakhaté, and Mamadou Sangaré.

The winner will be decided by a panel of 100 journalists who specialise in both French and African football. The 2026 recipient of the Prix Marc Vivien Foé is scheduled to be officially announced on 11 May 2026.
