The visit focused on the special and deep-rooted ties between the United States and the Netherlands, discussing strong trade relationship and cooperation on security issues, including within the NATO alliance.

According to P.M Rob Jetten, Netherland ‘also dwelt at length on the recent developments in and around Iran. It is essential that work now be done on a sustainable solution and that new escalation be prevented. The ongoing Russian aggression in Ukraine was also an important topic of discussion.’
