Harry Maguire Handed Suspension and Fine After Bournemouth Incident

Harry Maguire has been handed a one match suspension and fined £30,000 following disciplinary action stemming from his red card against AFC Bournemouth in March.

The Manchester United defender was charged after allegedly acting in an improper manner and using abusive and or insulting language towards the fourth official after being sent off during the match. The incident led to further review and subsequent punishment by the authorities.

As a result of the suspension, Maguire will miss Manchester United’s upcoming fixture against Chelsea FC on Saturday, dealing a blow to the team’s defensive options.
