San Antonio Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama has won the 2025-26 NBA Defensive Player of the Year award. He is the youngest player in league history to win the award.

The San Antonio Spurs star led the league in blocks for the third straight year, plus steals and blocks combined, and defensive field goal percentage.

He averaged 25 points, 11.5 rebounds, and a 101 defensive rating over 64 games while anchoring the Spurs’ defense.

Teammate Keldon Johnson hailed him as the best player in the world, and even Dwight Howard urged giving him MVP next.
