Paris Saint-Germain have been named the Laureus World Team of the Year following a historic and dominant 2024/25 campaign in which the club secured an unprecedented sextuple.
The French champions were recognised for winning the UEFA Champions League, Intercontinental Cup, UEFA Super Cup, Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and the Trophée des Champions in a single season, marking one of the most successful years in the club’s history.
Club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi expressed his pride following the announcement, dedicating the award to the collective effort of the entire organisation.
“On behalf of everyone at Paris Saint-Germain, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Academy Awards for this highly prestigious honour,” he said. “This recognition once again reflects the strength of our collective – at Paris Saint-Germain, the real star is the team, both on and off the pitch.”
He also highlighted the club’s broader mission beyond football success.
“We are also very proud to represent Paris, French football and France on the international stage, using the power of sport to bring people together and make a positive impact. These values lie at the heart of the Laureus Awards, and that is what makes this honour, being named the Laureus World Team of the Year, so special for Paris Saint-Germain.”
