Arsenal booked their place in the UEFA Champions League final after a hard-fought 1-0 second-leg victory over Atletico Madrid, sealing a 2-1 aggregate win.
Midfielder Declan Rice expressed his excitement ahead of the final and called on fans to turn out in huge numbers.
“Bring it on, bring it on, I’ll be ready. Budapest, I want every Arsenal fan out there. 200,000 of you, come out!”
“Let’s make it really special.”
Rice also praised young teammate Myles Lewis-Skelly for his development and composure on big occasions.
“We’ve always known what Myles can do.”
“I remember last year when he played so many games—when he stepped up away to Real Madrid at 18, that’s when I thought: Wow, we really have a player!”
Reflecting on the journey, Rice acknowledged the emotional significance of the achievement for supporters and the club.
“This era of Arsenal fans, I know people that have been there from the start have had a lot of ups and downs.”
“I’m happy we’ve done it for the club and for this set of players and our manager because everyone deserves it.”
Manager Mikel Arteta also shared his pride following the historic qualification.
“It’s an amazing night to live this kind of moment with the players and everyone at the club. It’s an incredible feeling.”
“I cannot be happier, prouder for everybody that is involved in this football club.”
“It makes sense with all of the things we do and we go through… I see so many happy faces and people proud of what we’re doing.”
He further praised the supporters for their role on the night.
“It was unbelievable right from the beginning—the supporters, the energy and passion they put in.”
Arsenal will now face either FC Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain in the final.
The Gunners’ run to the final marks a significant milestone for the club, representing their first appearance at this stage of the competition in 20 years.
