POLICES TRIALS: CORPS MEMBERS AT LAGOS COMMAND HEADQUARTER TO PRESENT EVIDENCE AGAINST POLICE EXTORTION

The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin in an update post disclosed that the three corps members who were extorted by the Police personnel last week had reported to the station to present evidence in the ongoing trial.
Recall that three serving members of National Youth Service Corps had posted a video alongside electronic cash transaction evidence of one million naira that some police operative extorted from them for their inability to present a physical driver’s license, in a ‘stop and search.’
The car’s spy camera had recorded some of the conversation that ensued between the corps members and police operatives without their awareness.
In that respect, SP Hundeyin disclosed that necessary actions were being taken as the four police officers whom were noted to be from Area C are presently facing trials.
In his post, he revealed that the three corps members are presently at the Police Station to present more evidence
The PRO’s post read: “The corps members were at the Command Headquarters today to give their testimonies and present more evidence. Trial is progressing well. Further updates will follow in due course.”
